ANTI EMBOLISM STOKINGS

Anti-Embolism stocking a non invasive prophylactic system for reducing the incidence of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) The compression applied by ant embolism stockings reduce the diameter of veins within the lower leg, which increases the blood flow, thus lowering the ri of thrombosis (formation of blood clots) and embolism (a thrombosis which has moved and occluded a vein) wen the patient is laying down for extended periods of time. Anti-bolism stocking provide less compression and is suitable only for non-ambulatory patients.
